About us:
The CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid)
is a general purpose experiment prepared to explore physics
at LHC (Large Hadron Collider)
at CERN.
Rich CMS physics program includes
explanation of Electroweak Symmetry Breaking (responsible for mass generation),
searches for Supersymmetry, New Physics and much more.
Warsaw CMS Group is formed by several physicists and technicians from
Warsaw University and Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies (Warsaw HEP Group).
We participate in CMS design and construction from its beginning.
The beginning of data taking is scheduled for 2008!

Pattern Comparator Trigger (PACT)

electronics for a fast, dedicated
muon trigger
based on Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC)
(overview of the Muon Trigger)

study of physics at the LHC (Higgs searches, SUSY, B-physics
