Warsaw DELPHI Group
The primary activity of the Warsaw group at the beginnings of DELPHI has been a participation in the design, construction and operation of the barrel electro-magnetic calorimeter High-density Projection Chamber (HPC), and specially its 1st level trigger. We participate in the maintenance of the HPC and take detector shifts while LEP is running. In this activity we collaborate with Ames, Bologna, CERN, Genova, Karlsruhe, Milano, Roma-Sanita, Stockholm.
We have also some responsibilities in the central off-line software.
Our physics interest is rather diversified. We participate in the analysis of b physics, gamma-gamma, tau, multi-hadron physics and new physics searches. At present we have four PhD students: one (MT) working on gamma-gamma physics, two others (MB, JH) on Higgs searches and one (KN) on other new physics search.
Our group meeting normally takes place on Wednesday, 9:15.
For phone and office numbers, look at the list of our High Energy Group.
The fax of the DELPHI group at CERN is (41)(22)782-3084. Contact the DELPHI secretariat, for any administrative problem.
