{"id":1201,"date":"2025-03-31T12:50:40","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T10:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hep.fuw.edu.pl\/?p=1201"},"modified":"2025-03-31T12:50:42","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T10:50:42","slug":"seminarium-fizyki-wielkich-energii-123","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/hep.fuw.edu.pl\/index.php\/2025\/03\/31\/seminarium-fizyki-wielkich-energii-123\/","title":{"rendered":"SEMINARIUM FIZYKI WIELKICH ENERGII"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SEMINARIUM FIZYKI WIELKICH ENERGII<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dnia 4 kwietnia (pi\u0105tek) o godzinie 11:30, w sali B2.38 odb\u0119dzie si\u0119 seminarium, na kt\u00f3rym zostanie wyg\u0142oszony referat pt.:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;Developments towards light Dark Matter Detection and Medical Applications&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referuje: Prof. Masayuki Wada (Astrocent\/CAMK PAN)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dark matter candidates with masses below 10 GeV\/c\u00b2 hold promise, and a new detector, DarkSide-LowMass, is proposed based on the DarkSide-50 detector and progress towards the DarkSide-20k. DarkSide-LowMass is optimized for low-threshold electron-counting measurements, and sensitivity to light dark matter is explored for various potential energy thresholds and background rates. I will present the developments towards low mass dark matter searches with a new detector as well as sensitivity with DarkSide-20k, which is under construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also discuss the activity for the medical application, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner, using the same technologies as dark matter searches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <p>Serdecznie zapraszamy<\/p>   <p>dr hab.
