The\u00a0Faculty\u00a0of\u00a0Physics\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0University\u00a0of\u00a0Warsaw\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0member\u00a0of\u00a0the
international\u00a0LUXE\u00a0(Laser\u00a0Und\u00a0XFEL\u00a0Experiment)\u00a0Collaboration.\u00a0 The
project\u00a0involves\u00a0a\u00a0groundbreaking\u00a0experiment\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Eu.XFEL\u00a0laboratory
in\u00a0Hamburg.\u00a0It\u00a0aims\u00a0to\u00a0study\u00a0the\u00a0Quantum\u00a0Electrodynamics\u00a0(QED)\u00a0in\u00a0the
regime\u00a0of\u00a0very\u00a0strong\u00a0fields.\u00a0One\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0key\u00a0elements\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0LUXE
experiment\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0high-density\u00a0electromagnetic\u00a0calorimeter,\u00a0ECAL-P,
designed\u00a0to\u00a0precisely\u00a0measure\u00a0the\u00a0energy\u00a0and\u00a0spectra\u00a0of\u00a0positrons
produced\u00a0during\u00a0collisions.\u00a0The\u00a0ECAL-P\u00a0project\u00a0is\u00a0being\u00a0developed
within\u00a0the\u00a0framework\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0CERN\u00a0Detector\u00a0R&D\u00a0Collaboration\u00a0on
Calorimetry\u00a0(DRD-calo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0LUXE\u00a0collaboration\u00a0came\u00a0to\u00a0Warsaw\u00a0in\u00a0September\u00a0to\u00a0take
part\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0collaboration\u00a0meeting\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0workshop\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0ECAL-P
detector\u00a0group.\u00a0The\u00a0meeting\u00a0in\u00a0Warsaw\u00a0was\u00a0followed\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0DRD-calo
collaboration\u00a0meeting\u00a0in\u00a0Ancona.\u00a0We\u00a0will\u00a0report\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0activities\u00a0of
both\u00a0collaborations\u00a0with\u00a0particular\u00a0focus\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0Faculty\u00a0of\u00a0Physics
contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
