„Vector Boson Scattering as a gate to New Physics”<\/p>\n

In the lack of direct observation of new particles at the LHC, indirect searches for physics beyond the Standard Model gain new importance.<\/p>\n

Vector Boson Scattering (VBS) processes provide crucial tests of the Standard Model mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking and allow for indirect searches for New Physics.\u00a0 After a pedagogical introduction to the physics of VBS, I will present the concept of BSM searches in the quasi-model-independent framework of effective field theories, their current status and future plans.\u00a0 I will give a review of recent VBS-related results from the LHC Run 2 data collected by the CMS experiment and selected advances in theory and phenomenology.<\/p>\n
