Study of atmospheric neutrino oscillations in the Super-Kamiokande experiment.
supervisor: dr Magdalena PosiadaĆa-Zezula, email: Magdalena.Posiadala@fuw.edu.pl
The Super-Kamiokande detector is the world’s largest water detector of Cherenkov radiation located in the mine in Kamioka, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. In this task, the student will become familiar with the subject of atmospheric neutrinos, their production and how they are detected in the Super-Kamiokande detector. He/she will learn the methods of selection of different classes of neutrino interactions. Knowledge of C++/Python programming is required.
