Study of the performance of a new algorithm for the reconstruction of the transverse momentum of muons in the trigger system of the CMS experiment.

In the years 2014-2016, intensive work was carried out to improve many of the components of the CMS experiment. At that time, the Warsaw group of the CMS experiment built a first-level triggering system based on signals in several types of muon chambers. Work is carried out in the field of programming FPGA systems and the development of momentum reconstruction algorithms. The task of the person performing the exercise will be to analyze the performance of the algorithm. Completing the exercise requires knowledge of the basics of Linux and programming in C++.
